Crutcher Scott Field was home to the Abilene Prairie Dogs of the Texas-Louisiana League for several years in the mid 1990's. It is located on the campus of Abilene Christian University and is a fairly typical collegiate ballpark. It is made up of entirely metal seating, some of which is fold down chairs, but most of which is benches. One oddity about Scott Field is the lack of dirt baselines along first base and third base, something which I've seen at other parks in Pensacola and Mobile. While this park would still be suitable for independent baseball, I have not heard anything recently about Abilene trying to lure a team back. A plaque commemorates the legacy of Crutcher Scott, whom the ballpark is named after.
