| Veterans Memorial Stadium is a former minor league ballpark, but apparently has not hosted pro baseball since the early 1940's when a Virginia League team (the Turks) played here. Despite this, it still appears to get plenty of use as a Valley League (summer collegiate) team calls this park home. In addition, it is used by Harrisonburg high school which is located adjacent to the park. The ballpark appears like it could have had a roof at some point, but I'm not sure if this is the case or not. If anyone can provide information on when this park opened, please drop me an email. Memorial Stadium was torn down in the fall of 2008. A new ballpark for James Madison University will be built on the same spot.
