| Buff Stadium was home to the Houston Buffaloes minor league team from 1928 to 1961. The ballpark was torn down in 1963, but fortunately there was still a reminder of it up until 2009. On the same plot of land where the ballpark was situated, the Finger Furniture store had stood. In the basement was the Houston Sports Hall of Fame which featured the last home plate used at Buff Stadium in the exact spot where it was located. Unfortunately, the furniture store has now closed and it is unclear what will happen to the Houston Sports Hall of Fame as well as the site of Buff Stadium.
