The baseball field used in the 1989 film Field of Dreams still sits in the middle of an Iowa cornfield. Because of the popularity of the movie, it has become quite a tourist attraction. Hundreds of fans visit the site on a daily basis during the summer months. Visitors are allowed to bring their gloves and bats and play on the field. The house, which was also used in the film, is not open to visitors, however. There has been talk of building a complex of youth fields here as well as a minor league ballpark, though supposedly it would not affect the original movie site. While the Field of Dreams site is a bit off the beaten path, it is worth a visit if you're passing through Iowa.
