Memorial Stadium was home to a South Atlantic League franchise on and off from 1970-1984, last as an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. It is a very basic ballpark with just a press box and concrete seating built into the side of a hill. The park does not have any real seats now, but appears like it probably had a few box seats when it last hosted professional baseball. It still gets use today by youth and summer collegiate teams. Unfortunately I was unable to get inside to take any further pictures. But based on what I did see, I'd have to say it's not worth going out of your way to visit. In 2007, professional baseball returned here when the independent South Coast League placed a team here. Unfortunately the league and team just lasted a single year before folding.
