| Huntington Avenue Grounds was home to the Boston Red Sox before Fenway Park opened in 1912. It was located on what is now the campus of Northeastern University.
While there are no remnants of the park on the site, there is a statue and plaque that still mark what was here before the college. The statue is of Cy Young and is located near where the
pitcher's mound was (behind Cabot Cage). The plaque is located on the front of Cabot Cage (right along Huntington Avenue), and marks the approximate location of the right field foul pole. While Huntington Avenue Grounds was only used for 11 years, it still has great historical significance because of Cy Young pitching
here and the first World Series taking place here.
