Larry Addington Field was home to the Tri-State Tomahawks of the Frontier League in 1993. Like the Coal Sox who played in nearby Wayne(WV), the Tomahawks folded after about a dozen games due to miserable attendance. Addington Field isn't a bad amateur park, but had no business hosting professional baseball. The park is made up of a brick grandstand split into two separate sections with additional bleachers setup down each line. While there isn't much historical significance here, Addington Field is another reminder of the growing pains that the early independent leagues went through.
