Joannes Park was last home to professional baseball when the Green Bay Sultans of the Prairie League played here in 1996. It is unknown, and rather unlikely, that pro ball was ever played here prior to '96. It is a very basic ballpark with just a small covered grandstand behind homeplate and bleachers down each line. Except for a few rows of box seats on each side, all the seating is benches. Located in a city park, next to a high school, it apparently still gets plenty of use by amateur teams. One of those is the Green Bay Bullfrogs of the Northwoods League. Though Green Bay seems like an area that could support its own professional team, Joannes Stadium is certainly not suitable for anything more than amateur baseball.
