For the Atlantic League, BB&T Point represents a departure both in design and location from their standard ways. While usually the league has put franchises in urban or suburban areas, High Point really isn't either of those. While I was unable to get inside the ballpark, it appears to have a very low profile with a seating bowl that is spread out and not very steep. It also features artificial turf, the only ballpark in the league that has this. Attendance was not great for the Rockers in their inaugural season as they finished 7th out of 8 teams. With affiliated teams in nearby Winston-Salem and Greensboro, it's hard to imagine that an indy team would ever draw that well in High Point. Hopefully I will get back here in the future for a game so I can provide a full review of BB&T Point.
