Unfortunately, I was never
able to see a game at Bush Stadium - I was a year late. From everything
I've heard, though, it was a great place to see a game. The former tenants, the
Indianapolis Indians, moved into brand new Victory Field
in 1996. After being used a race track briefly and then as a junkyard, the ballpark was converted into apartments in 2013. As you can see from the photos above, they have done a great job preserving the history of the old ballpark as the outer wall still remains and the infield has been permanently etched in the ground with concrete. While I was unable to get inside, apparently there are old photographs of the ballpark which line the walls. It is quite impressive to see and well worth the visit if you are in the area.
