Though it hasn't been used for several years for Minor League baseball, the playing field at Veterans Memorial Park is still in excellent shape. This is about the only good aspect of the park. To think this place ever hosted NY-Penn League ball is quite amazing. It is no better than most high school fields - it has a simple press box behind home plate and wooden bleachers running down both foul lines. I did notice a couple strange things when I saw this park in 1998. First, they still had up signs posted by the NY-Penn League team which had left 10 years earlier. Also, the park was completely locked up which I thought was unusual for such a rundown park. With its remote location in upstate New York, it is inconceivable that Little Falls could ever host minor league baseball again.
