Parkway Field was home to professional baseball in Louisville for much of the first half of the 20th century. The above photo depicts what remained of it, just the field and the outfield fence, until 2004. What remained of the fence was pretty neat. It was made entirely of brick and was quite high in left field in order to protect the road that ran behind it. The grandstand was torn down in 1961. There had been plans to renovate the field for use by the university's baseball team, but apparently these plans were scrapped. So now no remnants of Parkway Field remain. Hopefully at least an historical marker will be erected at some point.
