Sauget Field was home to the Gateway Grizzlies for the 2001 season before they moved into GMC Stadium, located just a couple miles away. Obviously, this field had no right hosting professional baseball. The seating simply consists of a metal bleacher section behind homeplate. I am unsure if there was additional seating here in '01 or not. I assume there must of been some temporary structures brought in to serve as concession and souvenir stands, though. Apparently attendance was not as dreadful as one might think as the Grizzlies actually did not finish last in attendance that year. Sauget Field appears to be well maintained, so has probably gone back to what it does best - hosting amateur games.
