| Cabaniss Field last hosted professional baseball in 1995 when it was home to the Corpus Christ Barracudas of the Texas-Louisiana League. It also hosted teams for a brief period during the 1970's. Never suited for pro baseball, Corpus Christi finally get a real ballpark in 2005 with the building of Whataburger Field. Cabaniss Field is an all metal ballpark with a small covering on the grandstand behind home plate. I was unable to get inside during my 2008 visit. |
