Gant Municipal Stadium has hosted numerous professional teams over the years, most recently the Zanesville Greys of the Frontier League from 1993-96. It is a funky little ballpark as it was clearly built as a dual purpose stadium - to host both football and baseball. For this reason, there is a conventional covered grandstand behind home plate (used primarily for baseball) and an uncovered grandstand down the third base line (used primarily for football). Almost all the seating is made up of backless wooden benches. The ballpark is in excellent shape and receives regular use by amateur teams. Gant Municipal Stadium is one of the more unique ballparks around and while it probably won't ever host pro baseball again, it should remain in use for years to come.
