Though it's been around since 1939, La Palma Park was only used for professional baseball for three seasons - all back in the 1940's. Currently it doubles as a football stadium as a large grandstand is located behind the outfield fence. La Palma Park was also the sight where some scenes from the Jackie Robinson Story were filmed in 1950. I was unable to get inside on my visit here in 2008.
