Stuart Stadium was home to a Texas League team from the 1920's through the early 1950's. The ballpark was razed in 1955. A shopping center now stands on the location. Fortunately, there is a reminder of the old ballpark. On the exterior of the bank, facing Avenue A, is a large mural describing Stuart Stadium and the history of baseball in Beaumont. It is quite a nice piece of artwork and sure beats just an historical marker.
