Fort Lauderdale Stadium played host continuously to spring training baseball from 1962 until 2009, after which the Orioles moves to Sarasota. The Yankees had trained here from 1962 until 1995 before the Orioles took over in '96. In addition, a minor league team called this ballpark home from 1962-93. After a decade of minimal use by amateur teams, Fort Lauderdale Stadium was demolished to make way for a new soccer stadium.
