Jay Littleton Ballpark was a gem of an old ballpark, but sadly, it was lost to a fire in August of 2024. On my visit here in 2008, I was unable to get inside, but even from the outside, its charm was undeniable. It featured a beautiful covered grandstand—something rarely found in California—and ivy-covered walls that added to its nostalgic appeal. Built in 1937, it only hosted professional baseball for a single season, in 1947, when the Ontario Orioles of the Sunset League played here. There is no word yet on whether a new ballpark will be built on the site.
