Hughes Stadium, built as a football stadium, actually hosted professional baseball for three seasons in the 1970's. From 1974-76, the Sacramento Solons of the Pacific Coast League played here. Apparently the left field foul pole was only 233 feet from home plate - shorter than even left field in the LA Coliseum. I was unable to get inside during my 2010 visit.
