The original grandstand (known as Perris Hill Park) was constructed in 1934, but professional baseball was not played here until 1987 when the San Bernardino Spirit came to town. Prior to the 1987 season, the old grandstand was torn down and the metal grandstand that is there today was built. The Spirit played here until 1996 when San Manuel Stadium was built. I was unable to get inside during my 2008 visit.
