After failing to support Midwest League and Northern League teams, Warner Park is now home to the Madison Mallards of the Northwoods League - a collegiate summer league. And they appear to be doing quite well as they are the top draw in the league at over 5,000 fans per game. Warner Park is a rather basic stadium, very similar to Beloit's Pohlman Field. There is a large metal grandstand with some box seats, but mostly metal bleachers without backs. Several party decks / picnic areas have also been added over the past several years which have been a big hit with the fans. The stadium is located in a city park to the north of the downtown. With the crowds the Mallards are bringing in, you'd expect that professional baseball might get another chance here someday, but as of yet there has been no movement towards this. Warner Park underwent an extensive renovation before the 2011 season.
